The Future City Competition is an international engineering program that challenges middle school students to design and build cities of the future. Teams research innovations in science and engineering to create a model city of the future with advanced technology and sustainability solutions.
This PD is led by teachers with experience coaching this event. We will review the program structures, how to get started in coaching teams, and lesson plans and classroom activities that prepare students and align to state standards in science, mathematics, and other disciplines. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with other coaches and mentors throughout the competition season.
*Participants will receive a $150 Stipend and 6 hrs of Teams Credit.
