Rebuild Alabama Project Updates April 2022

The Annual Grant Program of the Rebuild Alabama Act (RAA) signed in March 2019 requires ALDOT to allocate at least $10 million annually from the state’s share of gas tax revenue for funding of eligible local road and bridge projects.

Project Completion Updates (April 2022):

  • Barbour County:
    • 4 April 2022: Charles E. Watts completed the Proceed Order with Barbour County for construction of Project No. RA-BCP 03-296-20
    • 4 April 2022: Charles E. Watts completed the Proceed Order with Barbour County for construction of Project No. RA-BCP 03-304-21
  • Blount County:
    • 5 April 2022: Bob Smith Construction, Inc. completed the Proceed Order with Blount County for construction of RA-BCP-05-165-18 NeSmith Road Bridge Replacement
    • 10 May 2022: Whitaker Contracting Corporation completed the Proceed Order with Blount County for construction of DHR Drive Improvements
  • Elmore County, 18 April 2022: Ozark Striping Company, Inc. completed the Proceed Order with Elmore County for construction of 2022-PW4-1 Traffic Striping on Cherokee Trail.
  • Lee County, 2 May 2022: Gordon Company Inc. hereby gives notice of completion of contract with the Lee County Highway Department for construction of LCP 41-PP-240 Crack Sealing on LR-240 from AL-169 to the Russell County Line
  • Macon County:
    • 22 April 2022: East Alabama Paving Co., Inc. completed the Proceed Order with Macon County for construction of Project No. RA-MCP-20-2001(1001) Resurfacing of CR-69 from US-80 North to US-29 and CR-47 from CR-45 East to US-29.
    • 22 April 2022: East Alabama Paving Co., Inc. completed the Proceed Order with Macon County for construction of Project No. RA-MCP-20-4002(4003) Resurfacing of CR-12 from SR-199 North to SR and CR-35 from SR-14 East to SR-120.
  • Pike County, 7 April 2022: S&C Materials and Paving completed the Proceed Order with Pike County for construction of RA-PCP 55-03-21.
