Four workshops, sponsored by Alabama universities throughout the state, are being held to enhance understanding of potential ideas and projects to strengthen disaster resilience for buildings, transportation, and other critical physical infrastructure through more effective planning, sustained collaboration, and regular communication. A key feature of the workshops is the discussion of available funding sources and resources to support proposal development for the priority projects needed in your community.
The workshop format includes breakout sessions facilitated by subject matter experts who are teaming to help start these conversations, with a focus on actionable plans with clear next steps. USDOT Planning & Program Management Team Lead Aaron M. Dawson, and FEMA Building Resilient Infrastructure and Community Program Alabama lead Michael Johnson are speakers for the workshops.
This event will take place at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, AL.
