ATI and CAPS to Host the 2025 Southeast CMV Safety Research Summit

Advancing CMV Safety through Partnerships
Bryant Conference Center at The University of Alabama
August 26-27, 2025

The Alabama Transportation Institute and the Center for Advanced Public Safety are honored to coordinate and host the fourth Southeast CMV Summit, funded by a cooperative agreement with FMCSA. The Summit brings together government, industry, and research personnel who have interests in CMV traffic safety to encourage interactions and partnerships among university researchers, government and private agencies, law enforcement, and CMV industry representatives.

The Summit will provide a forum to create strong and lasting partnerships among the participants and give them the opportunity to plan future innovative joint efforts. Sessions will focus on FMCSA’s national priority topics of work zones, rural roads, and human trafficking. Speakers will revisit the topics of autonomous and electric mobility, advanced vehicle technologies, and data analytics, including predictive analytics.
